As part of the activities to mark this year’s edition of its annual Welfarism Week, Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Lagos State Polytechnic Chapter yesterday visited the down syndromes at Modupe Cole Memorial Children Care and Treatment School, Yaba and donated food item, clothes and other valuable things to them.
CACYOF LASPOTECH is a body that brings students on LASPOTECH campus together in order to improve their spiritual lives and also prepare them for future outsides the four walls of higher institution.
Welfarism week, an annual programme of the fellowship is purposely organized to evangelise and bless the less privilege. It is also organized to teach everyone in the fellowship the act of welfarism.
Speaking about the visit, the Welfare Secretary of the Fellowship, Miss Amosu Elizabeth said that the visitation and donation is part of the contribution of the fellowship to the society.
Elizabeth noted that the fellowship also acknowledge the need to expand the love of Jesus Christ to this special human beings.
She stated that Bible says in 2Corinthians 9 vs. 6-7; “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
According to her, the fellowship believes in following the path of Jesus Christ, adding that this is responsible for the yearly welfarism week.
