The supervising pastor of Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Lagos State Polytechnic chapter Ikorodu has urged all leaders in the Christendom to be holy saying that holiness is the benchmark for effective leadership.
Pastor Ariyo stated this while delivering a lecture on the topic “Holiness; Key Virtue to Acceptable and Fruitful Labour” at the ongoing retreat for new executives of CACYOF LASPOTECH.
He noted that holiness is not a legalistic value, but a biblical necessity and God’s standard, adding that when holiness is taking away from the church it only becomes an organisation.
According to him, the only way to heaven is the high way of holiness, emphasising that God has called everyone into holiness.
He stated that there are some statements that are not expected from Christians.
Pastor Ariyo said that that statements are; soul willeth but the flesh is weak, it does not matter, God understand, heaven help those who help themselves, there is no way you walk without your head moving, when you are in Rome, behave like Romans and give to Ceaser what belong to Ceaser.
“There are five principles of holiness. There are principle of inner beauty, principle of integrity, principle of peace, principle of love and principle of not conforming to the world,” he noted.
