“But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil. My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents. But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green” (Psa. 92:10-14).
As Christians, we receive from God, the anointing to flourish. This anointing is the overflow of Christ Jesus in our lives! It comes to us through the Holy Spirit and as we meditate in God’s Word, seek Him with our whole heart, and worship Him. “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father” (Jn. 15:7-8). The anointing of the Holy Spirit will enable us to thrive and succeed in our godly mission. The anointing is given to preach the Gospel to the poor, to heal and restore people, to proclaim freedom to the captives, to open the eyes of the blind and to set people free. The flowing anointing proclaims the time of the Lord’s favour (Lk. 4:18-19). As God’s masterpiece, we have been created anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things He has predestined us to do (Eph. 2:10).
The minute God’s anointing starts to flow on and through us, it will heal us. Our hearts will be healed and our health will be restored. When the anointing starts to flow over us, it brings revelation knowledge, allowing us to move into a supernatural walk with God. When God moves in our lives, the oil begins to flow, meeting every need in our lives. There will be no lack. Physical and spiritual necessities will be met (Psa. 23:1-3). The anointing provides protection through the presence of God and the comfort of His Rod and Staff (Psa. 23:4-5). The anointing of the Holy Spirit assures us that Jesus will preserve us in this life with His Goodness and Mercy, so that we may abide in the House of the Lord for eternity. Ultimately,
everyone in the Body of Christ is anointed with the Holy
Spirit which gives to us wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord (Isa. 11:2) These ingredients are all essential for us to truly flourish.
Let us embrace the anointing of the Holy Spirit of Christ Jesus which enables us to flourish in the things of God. Remain blessed. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
