The long publicized joint prayer meeting between Christ Apostolic Church General Executive Council and the Supreme Council faction was held on 20 December 2017.
According to 'CAC Youth For Change,' the prayer meeting was sequel to a letter written by the outgoing General Evangelist of the GEC faction, Pastor S.K. Abiara to the leaders of the two factions, to the effect that God sent him with a message to the said leaders, to hold a joint prayer meeting on the Church unity move, from 12pm to 3pm on any chosen date.
It was gathered that the president of the Supreme Council faction, Pastor Lagunju, agreed but requested that the meeting be held at CAC Headquarters, Irefin.
The meeting was attended by leaders of both factions. Pastor Akinosun led the GEC faction whilst Pastor Lagunju led the Supreme Council faction.
