The expectations is high as the new General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji resumed office at the General Secretariat of the church in Ibadan Oyo state on Monday January 8th, 2018.
Prophet Hezekiel was appointed by the authority of the Church last year September to replace Prophet S.K. Abiara who has retired as General Evangelist after so many years of preaching the gospel.
The expectations of CAC members Worldwide is high due to how God has used him on several occasions to bless and deliver captives from captivities.
Some members and clerics of CAC Worldwide advised Prophet Hezekiah on necessary reformation and changes he should bring to the church through his office.
They disclosed this exclusively to CAC NEWS through its Whatsapp group.
The Zonal Secretary, CAC Agbelekale Zone, Lagos 3, Pastor Femi Adeniyi advised Prophet Hezekiah to speedily compile the list of Ministers with genuine Prophetic gifts for further training, registration and spiritual development.
He further stated that the church need both educational and spiritual direction more than ever, adding that he does not subscribe to people who believe education is not necessary for proper church administration.
On his own part, Evangelist C.S Ajakaye of C.A.C chapel of Grace, Kubwa Abuja said the new General Evangelist should help C.A.C to reclaim what the church have lost, which he said are divine choice when it comes to appointing people into the leadership position from the position of president to the position of regional offices and the rest, stating categorically that the church should remove carnality from the system.
Mr. Jaiyeoba Sunday said Prophet Hezekiah in conjunction with his assistant Pastor E.O. Odejobi should continue the works of reunification which has already started in terms of regional revivals and depending on the leading of the Lord
The Choir Master of CAC Transfiguration Sango-Otta Mr. Olla Emmanuel said; “internal revival will be the best for CAC to get back to God's way and reckoning. Let's make sure every member (baptized) receive Holy Ghost baptism evidenced by the gifts that follow as well as full knowledge of the scriptures.”
Mr. Tolu-tope Dada of CAC New Covenant Assembly, Lagos congratulated the new General Evangelist and said “the annual revival Baba Abiara does is a great idea. However, it could be better. We can have better publicity, much better sound system (music should be taken into consideration when choosing which sound system to use), better and professional lighting during those revivals. With great publicity we can even make use of the main bowl of the national stadium rather than using the back of the national stadium (after all we've done it before and we filled the, national stadium main bowl during the Millennium revival).”
He stated further that; “let us rebrand those revivals away from only Yoruba. Let's remove the impression that CAC is a Yoruba church. With those revivals in Lagos and other parts of the country, I believe the Lord will add to His church. The setting of the stage should be 2017 as well. Using the type of stage Baba obadare used in his days doesn't speak well about or branding.”
Mr. Ilesanmi Samuel ,of CAC Chapel Of Life, Unity Estate, Bayeku Ikorodu said that Prophet Hezekiah through his office should redesigned and redefine the revival of salvation and bringing home the lost sheeps.
According to Samuel, the new General Evangelist should work more on the issue of “GOs” and planters syndrome in the church, adding that he should create the general rules and regulations that will guide everybody against tarnishing the image of the body of Christ.
Iyanu Gbadegeshin of CAC Oke Alafia Ekoro Abule Egba said: “To me Prophet Hezekiah is cable of the post. CAC made the right choice making him the General evangelist. It is God that has chosen him. God's standard is different from men laid down principles.
Prophet Hezekiah told Journalists not too long ago that his priority attention in his new capacity is to restore the church to its days of glory and as well stamp out indiscipline among pastors and church members.
The renowned evangelist, who is the founder of CAC Canaanland Ministries, said that he would use his new office to clear the rot in the church at home and abroad, stressing that his tenure would witness the rebirth of evangelism which is the hallmark of the church.
He said that, “when real revival begins, the seeming division in the church will fizzle out. Those who have left will return and the church will, in unity, forge ahead to achieve its mission of winning souls for Christ and setting free those in bondage for peace and prosperity to reign”.
