The General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor S.O Oladele has urged Christians all over the world not to only know the word of the Apostles, but also act according to the words of the Apostles.
Pastor Oladele stated this yesterday Wednesday 23rd May, 2018 while preaching on the topic "God's Love Revealed" at the ongoing 45th Ministers' Wives Conference (Ikeji III), Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
He said love is active, not passive and there is no way you can love without revealing it.
According to him, the love of King Solomon to the Shunemite woman was not concealed, saying that a whole book of the Bible is dedicated to the revelation of that love.
"God's love to humanity is greater. The Bible says 'greater love has no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.' This is exhibition of the nature of true love. We often stress the judgemental attributes of God at the expense and to the detriment of His parental attributes. We should devote more time to the preaching on the Love of Christ, if we are to win the rebellious world of Christ. His parental attributes include love, patience and long suffering," he stated.
The General Superintendent said as Christians if we do not help our needy brethren when it is in our power to do so, it is clear that a true love like Christ's is not in us.
Pastor Oladele noted that true love express itself nor only in great and heroic act but in little deeds of thoughtful kindness, in lowly ministries to the poor and needy.
