The President of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor (Dr.) Abraham Akinosun has urged Christian leaders to return to soul wining, stating categorically that church marketing has replaced effective and fruitful evangelism.
The President noted this while preaching on the theme "The Bearer of CAC Gospel: A Call to Duty" at the Duty Commencement Service organized for the newly inducted General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji last weekend at Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun state.
He noted that Nigerian churches need to return to strategic grassroot evangelism both in the rural and urban areas.
According to him, evangelism is essential for the growth of the church and any Church that fail to engage in it will go astray.
Pastor Akinosun said that the Holy Spirit is the greatest gift Jesus Christ gave to the church and the Holy Spirit also gives five ministries for the perfecting of the saints, work of the ministry and edifying of the body of Christ, adding that it is through the Holy Spirit the church can effectively and fruitfully evangelise.
He noted that majority of what we watch on television and listen to on radio this day are nothing but church marketing.
