Lagos state, particularly Christ Apostolic Church, Vineyard of Mercy Districts Coordinating Council (DCC) will be agog on Saturday 26th of May, 2018 as Royal Home Foundation Int'l (RHFI) holds Men’s Summit with the theme "The Rechabites." It may interest you to know that the convener of the summit is one of the blessed families in CAC Vineyard of Mercy DCC. It is the family of Mr. and Mrs. Yinka&Deborah Abimbola Akanbi and they are Sunday School Teachers.
In this interview with the Publisher of CAC NEWS, ‘Gbenga Bankole, Mrs. Deborah Abimbola-Akanbi speaks on the purpose of the forthcoming summit, the duties of the church in building men of godly character for the society and other interesting issues. EXCERPT!
Kindly tell us about yourself
My name is Deborah Abimbola-Akanbi. I am an Accountant by training, a teacher and a Motivational Speaker by calling. I have being a Sunday School Teacher in CAC since the year 2001. I am happily married to Oluyinka Abimbola Akanbi, a Tax Expert with four lovely children.
Tell us about Royal Home Foundation International and what is the main purpose of the foundation?
Royal Home Foundation Int'l (RHFI) is an inter-denominational and non- governmental organization, with the mandate to bring back to mind and society, the purpose of God for mankind and the whole essence of heaven on earth home.
Royal Home Foundation Int'l is raised to teach the married and singles the word of God as it relates to marriage in consonance with God's design and to catch teenagers young for God in order to have a better society. We do carry out free medical and humanitarian outreaches( Jesus' Market) and hold outreaches in schools - Primary, Secondary and Tertiary institutions.
Tell us some of the programmes you hold on yearly basis
We hold sexual Purity Outreaches in schools, Mothers' Summit, Men's Summit, My Marriage is for Christ, Royal Teenagers, Singles Summit, Family Praise and Power Night.
Give us full details about the Men’s Summit coming up this week Saturday
This is the gathering of young men - married and unmarried , old men from all phase of life to learn more from the Biblical point of view, what it takes to be a man in marriage, career, business and health issues. Young women and old are well encouraged to come and learn how a man is wired and how to support and encourage them , of course that's what a woman is created to be for her husband.
What is the main purpose of the summit?
We want men to know that total obedience to God's directives will bring perfect peace to our homes, churches and society.
Tell us about your guest speakers
We have three major guest ministers. The first person is Pastor S.O. Aluko who happens to be the National Sunday School Director of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide. He is happily married with an exemplary life as teacher of teachers of many years of experience.
Our second guest is Dr. Moses Ogunjimi, a consultant Urologist in LUTH, Idi-Araba, Lagos. He will carry out an awareness & investigation on Prostate Cancer.

What do you think is responsible for the failure of some men to perform their duties in their families?
The major thing that is responsible for this is the inability to get the concept of marriage from the beginning. We all understand that foundation is very important.
What are the duties of the church in building men of godly character for the society?
The church has the duty to teach the biblical truth and as well encourage families to build on same foundation with their children as a living example to the children.
What are the qualities of godly men?
Their love for God and family, fear of God and sacrificial living.
