The General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor S.O Oladele has lamented the bad attitudes of some ministers towards acquiring titles, stating categorically that there is a famine of ministers with godly characters in the church.
Pastor Oladele who noted this while preaching on the theme "The Mighty Men of David" at the inauguration and induction service of Adelaja Region yesterday Sunday 6th of May, 2018 said so many ministers are only running after titles these days.
He said that the best title a Christian or any minister can receive is not Regional Superintendent, DCC, Zonal or District Superintendent, Elder or Deaconess, but 'a man or woman after God's heart.'
The General Superintendent noted that the title by which any individual is called doesn't matter to God, adding that being a man or woman after His heart is what matters to Him.
"The title you are called does not matter to God if you're not a man after His heart. The best title you can receive as a child of God is 'a man or woman after God's heart.' There is a difference between being anointed and being a man after God's heart. King Saul and King David were anointed, but David was a man after God's heart. As the General Superintendent of CAC Worldwide, I can use my key to elevate you, but if you are not a man after God's heart, everything is vanity," Pastor Oladele stated.
He restated that so many ministers want to be Regional Superintendents, DCC Superintendents, Zonal Superintendents, District Superintendents, but how many of them want to become a man after God's heart?
The Clergy stated that what we need in CAC Worldwide these days is not people who have the knowledge in their heads, but people who have the knowledge of the word of God in their hearts and who can put it into action.
He concluded that we need to fight the giant of god-fatherism, injustice, tribalism, favoritism and nepotism in CAC Worldwide.
