The Superintendent, Christ Apostolic Church, Kosofe Districts Coordinator Council (DCC), Pastor Joshua Goodness Miller has said that the kind of revival we need in the mission is a revival where Christ is preached and sinners repent, stating categorically that we need revival of character, not charisma.
He also noted that the best revival we need in the 21st century is the revival that is base on the truth .
Pastor Miller who stated this recently while delivering a lecture on the theme "Holy Ghost Revival: The Greatest Need of the 21st Century Church" at the 3rd edition of the annual Workers' Refresher Course organized by CAC Life and Power Zone said that the revival we need is not clapping of hands or signs and wonders, stating that our consent about revival in CAC has been distorted.
He said that raising money during crusades is part of what is killing revival in the church.
According to him, what we need in CAC presently is not signs and wonders, but Jesus Christ and that is the greatest revival.
The Cleric noted that till date we are still worshipping 1930 revival in CAC instead of acknowledging the worker of the revival, which is Jesus Christ.
While commenting on the features of 21st century church, Pastor Miller said; "the pulpits of 21st century is now being dominated with the messages of prosperity, instead of the revelation of Christ's knowledge. Messages are now under-laced with principles of materials, social, economic success but lacking nutrient for growing in Christ. 21st century is dominated by the likes of churches where legalistic holiness is being preached, yet moral values of Christian faith is decreasing at alarming measure. This century has the likes of churches that display lack of impact on the society to the transforming of the society cultures, false beliefs and traditions, but shamelessly trust on superficial success of multitudes in attendance, seeking their satisfaction in materials, money, healings and miracles, instead of trusting in faith of Christ, they put trust in works of law or self-righteousness."
