A renowned marriage counsellor and family coach in Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor E.S. Famuyide has urged all ministers of God to take good care of their homes.
He noted that the greatest need in the world and in the church is Christian homes.
Pastor Famuyide stated this while ministering on the topic "Minister's Home: A Place to Exhibit Christ's Love" at the just concluded 2018 CAC Pastors' Conference, Ikeji II.
The cleric who noted that home is the parent and not the child of society, said if the home is weak, the society will be weak and if the home is strong, the society will be strong.
Likewise, he said the church is weakened, when the home is weakened, explaining that the influence of the church is diminished by homes that are in turmoil.
He told the ministers of God at the conference that it is imperative that they exhibit Christ's love to strengthen their homes and thereby strengthen the church and in turn, the world.
"One of the most important things that anyone can do for his country and for the Lord's church, is to establish and maintain a Christian home. In order to accomplish this noble purpose, the home must be founded upon Christ and guided by the Word of God. It is a pity that many Christian ministers busy evangelizing today, making disciples of Nation, while Satan is also busy evangelizing their homes due to ignorance and negligence of their primary assignment," he said.
While speaking on 9ways to exhibit love at home, Pastor Famuyide advised ministers to lay down their lives, pray for their family members, rebuke them when needed, freely forgive offenses, humbly serve them, meet their physical needs, rejoice and morn with them and introduce them to Jesus, encourage and discipline them in their relationship with Christ.
