The Youth Officer of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro has said that several people have lost their lives as a result of broken marriage, noting that marriage can determine someone's life span.
He said that it is no longer news these days that some husbands are killing their wives which he said is a result of bad marriage.
Pastor Gburiyo stated this on Saturday September 22, 2018 while ministering on the theme "My Marriage, My Life" at the Campus Maiden Edition of Marital Empowerment Training held at University of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Youth Officer who defined marriage as an institution ordained and ordered by God to complete man stated that a happy marriage is one of the greatest blessings that any man can enjoy in life.
He added that "the decision about whom to marry is likely to have a greater effect on our future happiness than any other decision in life. Many great aspirations and good desires of man in life can only be realized and easily achieved in the context of good marriage."
While commenting on what is marriage to life, Pastor Gbuyiro explained that "Life itself is the reason for which we live, but to live a fulfilled life becomes difficult if not impossible without marriage. Therefore, one of the most critical decisions in life is choosing a marriage partner which is not done leisurely under the best of circumstances."
He also said that marriage gives meaning to life, not career or academic qualification and that is why it must be taken with seriousness.
"Marriage adds values to life.
Your desire to go far in life is based on making the right choice in marriage. Men and women of notable progress in life don’t joke or gamble with their marriage."
"Do you want a lasting success in life? Start with your marriage! Why? No marriage, no life; a successful marriage, a successful life; a bad marriage, a bad life; a broken marriage and a broken life. Your marriage can determine your life span. Your marriage is your health. A healthy life has marriage as its main secret (Prov. 31:11-12). Marriage speaks of God’s favour in a man’s life.(Prov. 18:22). Your marriage is your strength. God, through marriage, releases strength for dreams fulfillment (Eccl. 4:10)."
"Marriage determines your prosperity in life (Eccl. 4:9).Marriage is your portion in life (Eccl. 9:9). Marriage could be a ladder through which you ascend to the height of your dream or descend from an enviable status of life achievement to a pitiable state," he concluded.
