The Coordinator of Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Lagos Campus, Pastor Ayo Olaniyi has said that power must be a predominant instrument of any ministry, not money as it is obtainable these days.

Pastor Olaniyi noted this while ministering on the topic “The Place of Power in the Next Move of God” at CAC 2018 Conference of All Evangelists, Planters, Prophets and Prophetesses in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.

He told the Evangelists, Planters, Prophets and Prophetesses at the conference that what they need to take dominion in this generation is power and authority, adding that the world needs revival and God is looking for those He will use for the revival.

The greatest undoing according to him is in not understanding that ministry is power play, and that what defines any ministry is the authority behind the power.

“If truly we are thirsting for the next move of God in our church and even in our ministry then, the place of power must not be overemphasized. Jesus before his ascension, when preparing His disciples for the next move, instructed them not to go until they were endowed with power.”

“To be effective in the ministry you must understand power, how to wield power and what it means when you do so.  Being in the ministry is more than managing people and staging revivals or crusade. Ministry is power and it requires both knowledge and practice to make it effective. The use of power is one important tool for the ministry and for the next move of God. Whereas, power in itself is neither good nor bad as it is the wielder that determines if power is used to serve or to undermine a goal. Power is much more than simple confidence. It is a necessary tool for enacting change within your sphere of influence. If power is used effectively, it will gain respect and achieve results. If used improperly, it can hamstring our ministry and lead to stagnation,” Pastor Olaniyi explained.

While talking about some truths on the place of power in the next move of God, the cleric noted that "you will be defined by the kind of power you carry and when you are not empowered you will be overpowered".

The CACTS Lagos Boss said there are prayers all around for revival and we know that God answers prayer and He knows the best time to move yet He’s looking for a man or woman upon whom He will release His power for His next move, adding that God can only initiate His next move no other person can do it.

He disclosed that the source of power for the ministry is the Word of God, endowment with the Holy Spirit, submission to God, in the full armour of God and mortification of the flesh.

He added that other sources of power for the next move of God includes but not limited to holiness, fasting and prayers, waiting on the Lord, love in action and brokenness.

“God is looking for someone who will respond that “Here I am, God! Send me.” Are you ready for the next move of God? Are you ready to be endowed with power from above for the end time revival? Are you truly thirsty and hungry for the next move of God? The world needs revival, God is looking for someone,” Pastor Olaniyi said.
