The General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor S.O. Oladele has noted that walking with God does not give immunity from the challenges of life.
Pastor Oladele stated this on Friday October 5, 2018 while ministering at the Centenary Revival of CAC in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He further stated that prosperity messages have been taken to the extreme these days and this has made some people believe Christianity is without challenges.
According to him, there is no one who walks with God without facing challenges.
Pastor Oladele who noted that the slogan that says "the Lord is good all the time" is incorrect, said that today we are claiming the blessings of Abraham, what about his pains?
"Some times we think we can give God conditions. We say if He does something for us we will do a particular thing in return for Him. What if He didn't do it? Job, Elijah, even our Lord Jesus Christ faced challenges. One thing about those who walk with God is that they will never allow their challenges to overcome them," he noted.
The General Superintendent stressed that some times God may seem mysterious to us as we walk with Him, adding that whatever happened to you, you are not lost in the crowd.
The strategy of the devil according to him is to turn us against God, but we must let him know that our Redeemer liveth.
He explained that walking with God starts from seeking Him, stating that no duty is more beautiful than the duty of seeking the Lord.
"You can seek Jesus by desiring and communion with Him. It is only when Christ is in your achievement that you are going to enjoy it. It is only when Christ is in your money that you will enjoy it. Let us begin by seeking Him. Seeking and finding Him will put an end to all your struggles," Pastor Oladele noted.
