Baba Ori-Oke, Mountain of Miracle, Ido-Ile, Pastor Olukola Ade Alabi

The great apostle of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola founded so many prayer mountains during his early ministry. One of such mountains is Mountain of Miracle, Ido-Ile, Ido Ajinare, Ekiti State. In this exclusive interview, the Baba Ori-Oke, Pastor Olukola Ade Alabi speaks with ‘Gbenga Bankole on how the mountain started, signs and wonders God has done on the mountain and other interesting issues.

Tell us briefly how Ido-Ile Mountain started

There is no precise documented date this mountain started or was founded. All what I know is that Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola was the first person to came here to pray and since then people have been coming here for prayers. People always like to associate themselves with whatever Babalola did. A lot of big ministers of God usually come here for prayers, including indigenes of this town.

What are the notable historical miracles that have happened here?

I can’t really mention everything. God has done a lot of miracles here and he’s still doing it till today. God has solved so many problems even till present date. So many mad people have received healing here. To the glory of God, so many signs and wonders have happened on this mountain.

Is the mountain restricted to CAC members alone?

The mountain is not restricted to CAC members alone. Even Muslims usually come here for prayers. Apart from that, people from different denominations usually come here to pray.

Tell us some notable ministers of God in and outside CAC who usually come here to pray or hold programmes

The present General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji holds programmes here. Pastor Kumoluyi and MFM General Overseer, Dr. D.K. Olukoya usually come here to pray and many more.

What are the problems confronting the management of this mountain?

The greatest problem we are having is financial problem. There are things that needed to be done which lack of money has hindered us from doing. It is only God that can solve it. Whatever problems human have, it is only God that can solve them.

 Is it true that some mountains have been commercialized?

I can’t say categorically what is happening in other mountains, but I can tell you everything about this mountain. This mountain is not commercialized. We are not the one answering prayers, it is God. So why commercializing it? Ido-Ile Mountain is not commercialized.

What measures have you put in place to curtail invasion of fake prophets on this mountain?

We make announcements at various intervals on daily basis against it and that is the best we can do. There are fake prophets even in churches. They cannot be completely eradicated because only God knows who is serving Him. But in our own case we also try to curtail whatever we think it is not good.

Looking at it biblically, what is the purpose of Prayer Mountains?

Prayer Mountain is a place where people come for the purpose of prayers. Mountain is a place people go to for their problems to be solved.

Looking at it from different perspectives, do you think Prayer Mountains in Nigeria serve their purpose?

The way I answered the previous question is the way I will answer this. I don’t know of other mountains, but Ido-Ile Mountain is serving the purpose. If miracles were not happening here people wouldn’t be coming. People even come from outside of this country to pray here. If God were not answering their prayers or meeting their needs they wouldn’t be coming here.

What can you say about Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola?

Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola was a great man of God. We have not seen someone like him since he departed. Can you just imagine someone who died so many years ago and people are still praying in the name of his calling and God, he was indeed a great man of God. We can even say he was not human, but an angel. We can’t see somebody like him again.

How do you feel to be alive witnessing the centenary celebration of CAC Worldwide?

I am very happy I’m alive to witness this. I was very happy when it was announced at the Pastors’ Conference. I am very happy I’m one of those who will be celebrating  it. It is something worth doing and celebrating.

What is unique about CAC?

CAC is unique in so many ways. No other church is praying like CAC and other denominations know this.

Where do you want to see CAC in the next 100 years?

The sky is the limit for the church considering the caliber of people that are leading us presently. I see many good things coming up in the next couple of years.
