The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has said that God has demonstrated through Christ Apostolic Church movement that he does not need many to do His work, neither does he need Professors and men of great scholarship to propagate the gospel.
He added that the anointing of God has made it such that the humblest of men, even the least educated of men and women can bring the good news, unshackling chains of captivity of the devil, delivering the oppressed from evil spirits , healing the sick and even raising the dead.
In his full speech at the grand finale of the centenary anniversary of CAC Worldwide, the Vice President said" I am very specially privileged and honored to be here with you today at this place of evangelical and missionary history. Celebrating 100 years of the first African led Pentecostal evangelical movement in Nigeria. For good measure, it was in this town that the undisputed leader of the indigenous Pentecostal movement Apostle Ayo Babalola was called to ministry by the LORD.
"The seed planted by Apostle Babalola have yielded the incredible harvest of salvation of souls in Nigeria for a hundred years now. From the CAC movement men, women and churches have gone forth into the world spreading the gospel from their own Jerusalem to Judeas and to the ends of the earth...glory to Jesus. God has demonstrated through the CAC movement that he does not need many to do His work, neither does he need Professors and men of great scholarship to propagate the gospel, the anointing of God has made it such that the humblest of men, even the least educated of men and women can bring the good news, unshackling chains of captivity of the devil, delivering the oppressed from evil spirits , healing the sick and even raising the dead. Such is the marvelous power of the gospel of the risen Christ."
"Every generation of believers has a duty to take the gospel to the next level in their own time. God equips the saints in each generation with all they will require to do exploits for the gospel. This generation of saints have our Own responsibility to our generation. The first responsibility is to be united. The church of Jesus Christ must stand together. We cannot continue as some did in the early days of the church in allowing ourselves the divisive narrative of I saying am of Paul, they are of Apolos. I am of Cephas, 1 Corinthians 1:12-13
Paul had to ask them Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? We must also ask ourselves did our denominations die for us, It is Christ that died for us not our denominations. Let us therefore march forward in unity, to preach the unblemished word of God to deliver the millions waiting for salvation. The second responsibility is that of accurately documenting the great works that God has done in these many decades through his apostles in Nigeria. I am a Professor of the law of evidence. My entire adult life I researched, published and argued about the primacy and validity of empirical proof. It is only what you can prove by logical evidence that is to be believed. But God opened my eyes to the evidence of things that are not seen as a demonstration of His power and His almightiness. This is why the testimonies of the great works of the men and women of the CAC must be documented properly and shared,. The Bible contains the Acts of the apostles of old. But Jesus said greater works than He did and indeed they did would we who believe do. We must document for those coming after us the Acts of the Apostles of Nigeria, led by Apostle Babalola."
"The third is the duty of the church to disciple the Nations. The Bible says that we are the salt of the earth the light of the world. Again Romans 8.19 says that the earnest expectations of the creation eagerly awaits the revealing of the sons of God”. We must teach our country righteousness and integrity. It is righteousness That exalts a nation."
"Let me in conclusion commend the excellent work that our fathers in the Lord have been doing. The body of Christ in Nigeria commends you for carrying on the great work started 100 years ago Your labor of love for the gospel might be not attract the accolades of men but the Lord God Almighty the great rewarder will reward you. And so on behalf of the Federal Govt of Nigeria I congratulate the leadership and memebers of the CAC Worldwide on this 100th birthday of the ministry. By the mercies of God, the Glory of the next 100 years will be greater than the glory of the last 100 years."
