Pastor G.C. Osuigbo |
The Regional Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Medaiyese Region, Pastor Chukwuemeka Osuigbo has admonished youths not to collect money from anybody to disrupt peace in the 2019 general elections.
Osuigbo gave the advice in his sermon during the 2018 Christmas service at CAC Durumi, Medaiyese Regional Headquarters, Abuja, on Tuesday.
He said that youths should be concerned and promote the peace of the country, especially during the 2019 general elections.
“We must learn how to make peace. If you are a politician you must love peace. It is evil for Christian politicians to cause trouble?
“Politics has turned many Christians to trouble makers. If unbelievers are causing trouble, you should not join them.
“Christian youths, don’t go and collect money to cause problem during elections. You must be at the side of peace.
“They have started looking for ways to cause problems in the elections, and none of them will give gun to their children. Have you seen that? Their children will not even be in Nigeria.
“Don’t allow them to fool you. If they need someone to go and fight with gun, let them give it to their children to go and fight. ”
Reading from the book of Ephesians 2:13 -15, Osuigbo urged Christians to always make peace as commanded by God, saying if you possess Christ you must make peace because Christ is our peace.
In his Christmas message titled: “The gift meets us where we are”, Osuigbo described Jesus as a special gift of God that was not lobbied for, but sent to redeem men from the law.
“The gift we are talking about issues not money, not cars, not houses, but a divine gift that came from above and that is the son of God.”
Osuigbo urged Christians to make use of the Christmas season to honour Jesus, worship God and present gifts to others no matter how little it was.
He also warned against celebrating Christmas in wrong ways such going to drink alcohol, steal, committing fornication or adultery to celebrate the birth of Christ. (NAN)
