CAC Somolu Olaleye DCC headquarters dedicates faith home at 50th anniversary service

History was made on Sunday December 23, 2018 at the golden jubilee of Christ Apostolic Church, Somolu Olaleye District Coordinating (DCC) headquarters, Somolu Lagos as the church formally dedicated her newly built faith home.

The faith home was dedicated by the Regional Superintendent of CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor M.O. Yusuff who represented the mission’s President, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun at the anniversary.

It was undoubtedly celebration of 50years of God’s faithful as members of the church across the globe and notable personalities in and outside the church gathered to celebrate with the church which started in one-room apartment 50years ago.

Among those who were in attendance were the first assembly minister of the church who is also a retired DDC Superintendent of CAC Egba DCC, Pastor Paul K. Bankole, former and retired DCC Superintendent of CAC Itire DCC, Pastor M.O. Adeoye, incumbent DCC Superintendent of Itire DCC, Pastor Gideon O. Oladokun and Candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) for Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Ademorin Kuye among others.

The DCC Superintendent of Somolu Olaleye DCC, Pastor J.O. Akinyomi while delivering his welcome address said the last 50years has come with her ups and downs but God has never abandoned the church all through the journey.

He said the obedience of the past and present leaders of the church has yielded great dividends of which he and everyone in the church is a product of total reliance on the leading of God.

According to him, the church has grown in numbers and physical structures. He added that;”over the last 50years the church has metamorphosed from an assembly into a district, to a zonal headquarters and now a DCC Headquarters with five districts. The church has also produced countless of ministers who are now assembly Pastors, District superintendent, DCC Superintendent many of who started out here as Sunday School teachers.

Pastor Akinyomi commended the effort of the immediate past Superintendent of the Somolu Olaleye DCC who started the faith home vision which is now a physical testimony.

“More structures befitting our church will be worked upon earnestly. These include the baptistery, children and teens church with full worship equipment, church auditorium expansion, amidst others. CAC Somolu Olaleye in the next phase of 50years will continually be a light giving and life tranfroming church by leading people into the knowledge of God through an indept study of the word of God, prevailing prayers and spiritual worship,” he stated.
