The Regional Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church,
Odubanjo Region, Pastor Samson O. Akinsulure today Friday December 28, 2018
celebrated his 75th birthday.
The celebration of God’s faithfulness was held at the
English Assembly of Odubanjo Regional Headquarters, CAC Oke-Igan, Akure, Ondo
state.
It was a celebration of a servant of God with enviable track
records and overwhelming impacts.
HIS BIOGRAPHY
Pastor Samson O. Akinsulure was born in Ilutitun, Osooro in
Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State on December 26, 1943.
He had his elementary primary school in Ilutitun between
1955-1960. But in 1961 he became a student of Ekiti Boys High School, Igede
Ekiti. There after he did a tutelage in 1965 before he enrolled as a bible
student at CAC Bible Training College, Efon Alaye in 1966 and obtained
certificate in Theology in 1967 there.
Pastor Akinsulure travelled to Canada in 1973 where he
enrolled as a student of Menonnite Brethren Bible College Winnipeg, Manitoba
Canada and took a degree of Bachelor of Religious Studies (BRS) in 1976. He
attended the Advanced Leadership Training course in Singapore in 1983, and also
obtained a Diploma in Journalism in Lagos in 1987.
Not satisfied with the academic laurels he acquired, he did
a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at UNAD now University of Ado Ekiti in
2003. Baba Akinsulure also bagged the degree of Master of Education (M.Ed) of
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 2005. He was awarded the Doctor of Divinity
(DD) Honoris Causal by Bradley University in 2000 AD and finally capped his
laurels with the coveted degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) of ABU, Zaria in
2015.
WORKING EXPERIENCE
After his initial training at CAC BTC Efon Alaye, Baba
Akinsulure was posted as Evangelist/Teacher to CAC Pamo in Kwara State in 1968
till 1970 where he was transferred to CAC Okelisa, Akure and was there between
1970 and 1973 before travelling to Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada.
After Baba returned to Nigeria in 1976 he was made the Assistant Sunday School
Superintendent by the church authority. He was ordained a Pastor on 17th
February 1977 in CAC by the then President, the late Pastor E.T. Latunde.
Before all our Bible Institutes were merged together to form
our now CAC Theological Seminary, Ile-Ife, Baba was a part time lecturer at the
then CAC Pastoral Training Institute, Agege Lagos in 1979.
During the short-time Pastoral Training of 1988, 1993, 1995
and 1999 he was chose to be one of the training lecturers. He became the first
District Superintendent of CAC Ijoka District now Ijoka DCC Akure from
1993-1996 despite the fact that he has been appointed in 1992 to become the
Sunday School Superintendent of CAC Worldwide.
He was in this position till 1997 October, when he was made
a Chairman and posted to head CAC Kano DCC till 2001. By July 2001, the CAC
Authority transferred him to be the Chairman of CAC Abuja DCC where he worked
assiduously till 2014. But by January 21, 2014 he was transferred to Ile-Ife as
DCC Superintendent till January 19, 2018 before he was eventually appointed to
become the first Regional Superintendent of Odubanjo Region which we all are
witnessing its inauguration today March 18, 2018.
