The Assembly Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Testimony, Ebute-Metta Lagos, Pastor Bunmi Babatunde has said that the church of Christ must stand to show love that cannot be found in the world and any church without love is a social gathering.
Pastor Babatunde noted this while delivering the New Year message on the topic "Love, the Ultimate Currency" at the church's first Sunday service of the year on January 6, 2019.
He stated that the two strongest currencies in the world are love and hatred.
According to him, the church of God is expanding in Nigeria, but without impact because there is no love.
The CACYOF Akinyele Regional Youth Coordinator said love must flow in the house of God, stating that it is when the love has saturated that the church can go out for evangelism.
Pastor Babatunde noted that when the love of God is the currency of the church, there will be collective prosperity.
"2019 is a year God wants to express His love to His children. God used our Lord Jesus Christ as a currency of love. If love is absent in a church, the church is a social gathering. This is because what God gave to the world (which is Jesus Christ) is the reason we are here. Love is the greatest gift God can give anybody," he stated.
