It was a celebration of God’s promises and mandate at the 9^th anniversary thanksgiving service of Christ Apostolic Church, New Covenant Assembly, Iju-Isaga Lagos

The anniversary which was held on Sunday January 20, 2019 was specially packaged to celebrate God’s faithfulness over the assembly since the last nine years. The anniversary thanksgiving service was the grand finale of this year’s “Festival of Champions” tagged “Outpouring of the Spirit.”

“Outpouring of the Spirit” is the theme of the service which was attended by some notable ministers of God in CAC Worldwide. Some of them are the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Transfiguration zone, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi, CACYOF Akinyele Assistant Coordinator, Pastor I.D.O. Akinpelu, Assistant Music Director, CAC Worldwide, Pastor Paul Bankole and Pastor Olu Aina among others.

While delivering Pastor’s Welcome Speech, the Assembly Pastor, CAC New Covenant Assembly, Pastor Tope Dada stated that 9 years ago, God gave the church a clear vision of developing people and raising Champions, adding that to the glory of God, many leaders and champions have been developed and raised to a high pedestal in several fields and works, of life through the commission.

The Cleric further stated that younger, vibrant, shining stars and talents are rising to lime light as God has been helping the church, adding that these testimonies give them more reasons to celebrate "Festival of Champions" every year.

"Last year was the first time we moved "Festival of Champions" to January. This was necessary because this commission started in January 2011. Hence, the theme of last year "Festival of Champions": Restoration and Transformation (Joel 2:25). And by the grace of God, we have recorded several testimonies of lives that were transformed, families, health, jobs and marriages that were restored through several God-inspired programmes," Pastor Tope Dada stated.

Pastor Tope Dada who is the Music Director of CAC Worldwide noted that God has used programmes such as their annual Couple's retreat, Couple's Dinner, House Fellowship, Open Air Crusades, Evangelism, Jesus market, Community Development Programmes and Career Development programmes to transform lives tremendously.

While commenting on the theme of the anniversary which is “Outpouring of the Spirit”, the Cleric said; “after God has restored all our losses over the years, transformed our lives and poured out His blessing on us, He is set to pour out His Spirit on us all this year. It is time for our sons and daughters to prophecy, for our old men to dream and for our young men to see visions. God is set to raise a generation of young prophets and visionary leaders in the corporate world, government, music industry, fivefold ministry and business world who will accomplish greater things this year, according to the word of the Lord for year: “Year of Greater Accomplishment.”

He further stated that; “As a matter of fact, God has been using several of His servants to bless us during this year’s Festival of Praise- starting from Pastor Peter Ayodeji who ushered us into the year with 2 days power packed prayer congress, Pastor I.D.O. Akinpelu who lectured us on “Outpouring of the Spirit,” Minstrels Tope Ilori, Bisola Akinsola, 2 Hebrews and Pastor Ayo Agunbiade who blessed us with soul lifting music during the Friday Music night to Mount Zion Faith Ministries who blessed us with a movie premiere of the powerful movie; “Abejoye” (Season 1&2). Today, we are here to celebrate God who has blessed us so much with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1;3).”
