TEXT: ROMANS 10:1ff (NKJV)
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved (Romans 10 vs. 1).
Before we precede brethren, the Israel by extension that the Bible is talking about here are the Christians, those regenerated by the washing of blood. That we all may be saved.
"For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, "The man who does those things shall live by them."
But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down from above)
or, "'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10 vs. 2-13)
For several times and years brethren, the children of Israel had often failed God ab-initio, with just only a remnant surviving. This is because they strive towards the law in terms of human effort and capability instead of trusting in God, who transforms the heart. No wonder the bible says in Ephesians 2:8-9 that “For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Although, everything about the Jews in their worship, pointed to the coming Messiah, you know, their religious festivals, priesthood, temple services, sacrifices, and covenants. And it will interest you that their Law told them they were sinners in need of a Savior. But instead of allowing the Law bring them to Christ as advised in Galatians 3:24, they worshiped their Law and rejected their Savior. What an aberration and a contradiction of the highest order!
You know! The Law was an indicator or signpost pointing the way. But it could never take them to their destination. The Law cannot give righteousness; it only leads the sinner to the Savior who can give righteousness. Listen to me; I decree that as from now, your desire shall always be for Christ, forsaking all your self-acclaimed ways which are contradictory to serving and following God in Jesus’ name.
Friends, take note, the key word in this passage is "righteousness." I pray for you today that the desire to live a righteous life in this new year and beyond be released upon you as from now in Jesus’ name. You see, The Jews wanted righteousness, but tried to obtain it in the wrong way. Like the graphics of the Pharisees designed in Matthew 23:15, the Jews depleted energy in securing a right standing with God, but their deeds were done in ignorance. "Religious people" today are no different; they think that God will accept them for their good works. To you my reader, I employ you to have the total resolve to desire to living righteously for God as this God is set to load as many as shall serve Him in truth and Holiness with good things of life in the new year and beyond.
Verses 9 and 10 say that: that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Based on this verses, I want to employ you to please give your life to Jesus Christ so you can be partaker of the divine blessings and if you’re set to, say after me: Lord Jesus Christ, I acknowledge myself to be a sinner and I confess my sins and decided not to go back to them anymore as I totally give my life to you, please receive me and write my name in the book of life, thank you for saving me, I am born again. If you have said that, mean same with the whole of your heart. Do look for a bible believing church and be part of them or put a call across to us to further put you through or you have anything to ask us. God bless you.
Romans 10:13 says: For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. This passage been the year 2019 watchword for my church CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH, and corroborated in Joel 2:32 which says: And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, As the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls. It is on this I declare that as you open your mouth to pray, and claim the prayers, your request shall be answered and no power shall be able to stand before you as from now In Jesus’ name.
Let me make it point clear to you that year 2019 shall be full of diverse challenges but your resolve to call on God will always give you heldge above all others.
Open your mouth and declare that: as I pass through 2018 in pain and lacked benefactors, I refuse to spend this year with such an experience in Jesus’ name.
Open your mouth and declare that: every opportunity I missed in 2018, I shall not miss such and greater opportunities this year 2019 in Jesus’ name.
Hope you remembered that those who shall call upon the name of the Lord are those who shall be saved as we've read from the passage?. Please endeavor to call on Him in this new year and see Him release all the goodies you've been expecting for years come look for you.
Open your mouth and declare that: year 2019, you shall bow for me to succeed in Jesus’ name.
Open your mouth and declare that: demonic agents, who made my marriage, my businesses, academics, family, journey overseas and all good things God has given me a hell for me in 2018, shall fail this year and meet their waterloo and my marriage, my businesses, academics, family, journey overseas and all good things you have given me are delivered from your hands in Jesus’ name.
Open your mouth and declare that: in 2019, I am more than a conqueror in Jesus’ name.
I decree into your life that as from this moment, I see new glory manifest in your life in Jesus’ name.
I decree, in this year 2019, receive new glory garment and be covered with new glory in JESUS’ name
Powers sent from the covens of witches and wizards that have bowed your head in 2018 shall not prevail over and against you this season of new glory in Jesus’ name.
Before the first quarter of 2019, what you have been denied shall be with honor handed over to you in Jesus’ name.
I prophesy to you, you are saved from all attacks in Jesus’ name.
I prophesy, you are delivered from year 2018 oppressors in Jesus’ name.
I prophesy, this is your year of new glory in Jesus’ name.
amen.
Have the resolve to always call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as you journey through this year and even beyond. God blesses you.
