It was a memorable day undoubtedly for the former Deputy Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Prof. Elijah Afolabi Bamgboye who celebrated his 70th birthday on Friday March 3, 2019.
As part of the activities to commemorate the birthday ceremony, the authority of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide dedicated CAC Oke-Agbara, God of Elijah, Aroro Ajobo, Ibadan built by Prof. Bamgboye.
The dedication of the church building was anchored by the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun, with the General Superintendent, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele and General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur in attendance. The event also had in attendance the renowned Prophet of God, Prophet M.O. Olowere, Youth Officer of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro, Music Director, Pastor Tope Dada and DCC Superintendent, CAC Oke Ibukun, Oke-Ado Ibadan, Pastor G.S. Dada.
While speaking at the event, Prof. Bamgboye said that it was God that ordered him to build a church for him.
He further stated that he met with the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Akinosun to share the vision with him, stating that Pastor Akinosun encouraged him and asked him to do it wholeheartedly without wasting time.
Prof. Bamgboye also said that he received full support from Prophet Olowere who did the foundation laying of the building.
The former DVC of University of Ibadan said he owed anybody any penny for the construction of the church building, adding that it was God's provision.
The President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Akinosun while preaching commended Prof. Bamgboye for obeying God's command, saying that God has a way of rewarding those who obey His instruction.
He prayed that the purpose for which the church building was constructed would be fulfilled.
