The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun has urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to forget his electioneering promises, saying that every promise made is a debt until it is fulfilled.
He further stated that the new government should learn from the mistakes of the past so as to move the nation forward.
Pastor Akinosun who stated this at the just concluded General Council Meeting of the church at Ikeji-Arakeji said that what the electorates are saying with this new mandate is that President Buhari should move the nation forward economically, socially and security wise.
"Our nation had the inglorious rating of being the world capital of extreme poverty. This view have been exaggerated but the facts remains that a lot of our people are living below the poverty line. Government must therefore, gear its policy towards complete eradication of poverty in the land. For if government effort is to reduce poverty, the impact may not be felt where it matters. In view of this, government should create jobs in millions to absorb the army of unemployed youths, many of whom have been pushed into extreme antisocial behaviour in order to make ends meet," Pastor Akinosun said.
