After three years of being at the helm as the District Superintendent, Pastor Israel T. Ariyo has been formally inducted as the pioneer District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Pentecostal District, Life and Power Zone, Ikorodu Lagos.
The induction which was held on Sunday March 31 2019 was anchored by the Zonal Superintendent of CAC Life and Power Zone, Pastor Mich 'Tunji Oladapo. Pentecostal District Executives were also formally inaugurated.
While preaching at the programme on the topic "Duty of a Spiritual Watchman," Pastor Oladapo urged the newly inducted District Superintendent (Pastor Ariyo) to make God's message his message to the church.
According to the Cleric, a spiritual watchman is a chosen person by God to warn people of their iniquity from the mouth of God.
He told Pastor Ariyo not to shy away from his duties and responsibilities, urging him to always speak the truth to the church without any apology, though it may be bitter.
Pastor Oladapo further said that part of the duties of a spiritual watchman is to plead with the members of the church in order for them to reconcile their ways to God.
He stressed that every spiritual watchman must let the church know that genuine repentance is the precondition for the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
Part of the duties of a spiritual watchman according to him is interceding for the church, saying that they must be committed to God from time to time.
In his message entitled "My Meat" earlier in the programme, Pastor Ariyo said he is eternally indebted to God in term of eternal praise for his election, calling, justification and glorification.
He disclosed that he received God's calling into ministry in 1994 but started active ministerial service in 1997, adding that for the past 22 years in service, his success story has been a revelation of God's faithfulness.
"For those of us in Pentecostal, the wind had blown and thunder of hell struck yet we are more than conquerors. I rejoice with all Pentecostal District family. I appreciate specially my role model and spiritual Dad and Mum, Pastor & Mrs. Mich 'Tunji Oladapo who are the visionary of "Pentecostal" and her lifting. I salute the heroes in our progress course, our very supportive Ministers, motivational elders, dynamic men, committed women, unstoppable visionary youths, our children our pride, and the entire team of Pentecostal District work-force on this milestone celebration. Our song, our confession remains "Onward Christian Soldiers" moving on to do God's will and finish the work of our Master," he said.
