It was indeed a celebration of 31 years of walking with God at the 31st Thanksgiving Anniversary Service of Christ Apostolic Church, Stockwell Zonal Headquarters, United Kingdom.
The Thanksgiving Anniversary Service was held on Sunday May 26, 2019 and started by 12noon.
The Zonal Superintendent of CAC Stockwell Zone, Pastor M.A. Olaniyi while delivering his welcome address appreciated
every member of CAC Stockwell Family for their support and prayer since the last 31 years.
He further stated that this year God wants them to experience His unquestionable freedom in every area of their lives.
Pastor Olaniyi said the freedom we obtain from the truth is the freedom from ignorance; primarily the ignorance of spiritual things.
"Now we are all aware of the bondage we have of not knowing certain things. If a person has no formal education for example, his opportunities are limited. A person who is illiterate will face many closed doors and will have difficulty even finding the most menial of jobs. If this is true in our secular society, imagine the impact this has on a spiritual level. A person who is illiterate of spiritual truths will not be able to thrive spiritually. A man who does not know the teaching of the Word of God or the basic fundamental truths of the Christian faith cannot come to Christ for salvation. They are in bondage to their own spiritual ignorance. And that ignorance can be devastating,"
"The knowledge of the truth shows a man his personal need of salvation. You are not saved yet, and you don’t think you need to be saved, you only need to know the truth. In John 14: 6 Jesus says “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me. Just as the religious leaders of Jesus’ day, many are still ignorant of their spiritual conditions,"
"These people were forgetful that they had once been enslaved by the Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians. Though they continued to define themselves as free, the Jewish nation was conquered several times and was at that time absorbed into the Roman empire. Being a descendant of Abraham, they thought, gave them a special pathway and privileges. So do many today – “I’m fine,” they say, “I have no record of failure but a great record of success to show in different areas of my life,” “I have no care in the world.” But deep down within, they are spiritually sick and enslaved.The message of this anniversary is – GOD CAN SET YOU FREE AND HE WILL SET YOU FREE," he noted.
