It was a day of divine fulfillment for the Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji as he was formally inducted as the fifth General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide on this day in 2018.
Prophet Hezekiah who was announced as CAC Worldwide General Evangelist on September 8, 2017 resumed office on the 1st of January, 2018. He succeeded Prophet S.K Abiara who retired after serving for many years.
The renowned Prophet and Evangelist was formally inducted at the Duty Commencement Service organized for him by CAC Worldwide which was held on May 12, 2018 at Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun state.
The service had in attendance notable DCC and Zonal Superintendents in CAC, Governor of Ondo state, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, then Deputy Governor of Ekiti state, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, wife of Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos state, representative of the General Oversee of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr. D.K. Olukoya, representative of Honorable Speaker of the Federal House of Assembly, Honorable Yakubu Dogara and others.
How Prophet Hezekiah emerged as CAC 5th General Evangelist- Pastor Akinosun
The President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun said at the programme that Prophet Hezekiah was prayerfully chosen through the direction of the Holy Spirit.
He further explained that he and some other spiritual fathers of the church went into rigorous prayers before God revealed the 51-year-old newly inducted General Evangelist.
"God has appointed for us a capable hand to occupy the post of General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide in the person of Prophet Hezekiah. As from now, he has worn the same shoes of the great Apostle, Joseph Ayo Babalola. I appreciate the immediate past General Evangelist, Prophet Abiara who did credibly well while in office," he said.
The President advised Prophet Hezekiah to try his best to preach the true word of God to unbelievers or pagans throughout the world.
He implored the General Evangelist to work tirelessly in order for CAC to be known again throughout the whole world.
He stated further that Prophet Hezekiah should show more interest in attending seminars and reading gospel books that can help him.
"I will implore Prophet Hezekiah that he should play less and pray more. He should support the grace of God upon His life with fasting, prayer and seeking the face of God. Always try to prepare your message as if you want to preach to millions of people. Ministry is a battle ground. Do whatever you can to succeed in this new capacity," Pastor Akinosun concluded.
I have the greatest respect for Prophet Hezekiah- Governor Akeredolu
Having identified the man of God as a Prophet of God for this generation, the Governor of Ondo state, his excellency, Governor Rotimi Akeredelu (SAN) said that he has the greatest respect for the Prophet Hezekiah.
He also noted that Prophet Hezekiah has been an Evangelist, but he is now the General Evangelist of the first Pentecostal church in Africa.
According to him, Prophet Hezekiah is a great evangelist, adding that the prayer of the General Evangelist is responsible for where he is today.
"I am happy to be here. I am part of CAC. We have been coming a long way. I am always happy with the development in CAC, particularly about JABU," he stated.
Prophet Hezekiah is a Prophet that respects God's voice- Bola Are
A renowned gospel singer, Lady Evangelist (Dr.) Bola Are described Prophet Hezekiah as a Prophet who respects the voice of God.
Bola Are who made this known at the musical concert organized for Prophet Hezekiah by CAC Canaanland Headquarters, Garage Olode Osun state said that Prophet Hezekiah is a man of God who respects "thus saith the Lord."
According to her, the General Evangelist has been a man of God that has never been tired of serving God and never been tired of doing what God asked him to do which is preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The renowned gospel singer said Prophet Hezekiah loves going to places to preach the gospel and he is a man of prayer.
"Most of the time when you called him and he is not available, it is not that he has gone to somewhere to have fun, but he is in the wilderness or bush praying or he is ministering somewhere," she said.
She further stated that Prophet Hezekiah is a giver that gives sometimes to the detriment of himself.
Mama Bola Are as she is fondly called concluded by saying that; "It is the will of the Lord to have him as General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide. It is an ordinance of the Lord Almighty. I was still in Nigeria when the news of his appointment came to me and I was very happy. He truly deserve the position."
Also speaking at the event, the Superintendent of CAC Itire Districts Coordinating Council (DCC), Pastor G.O Oladokun saluted the courage of CAC Worldwide President, Pastor Abraham Akinosun to have announced Prophet Hezekiah as the General Evangelist.
"I want to salute the courage of our President, Pastor Abraham Olakunle Akinosun for the announcement of Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji as the General Evangelist of the church. I want to appreciate the President for announcing him out of thousands of Evangelists and Prophets we have in CAC Worldwide. We need to thank God for giving us someone who is very young and agile," Pastor Oladokun said.
Some of his achievements
It has been one year of enormous achievements and fulfillment of mandate to the glory of God. The God's General hit the ground running even before his induction service was held. Some of the programmes which have been held under his watchful eyes in the last one year are follows; 2018 All Evangelists, Planters, Prophets and Prophetesses conference, Centenary Revival in all the regions of the church and crusade in Ikeji-Arakeji, Oshogbo City Crusade, Ife Land Crusade and Ilesa Power Crusade among others.
