The 2019 edition of the annual Triumphant Praise programme is around the corner. The Convener of the programme, Mrs. Tope Folarin speaks with CAC NEWS in this interview on the programme and other interesting issues.
Tell us briefly about yourself
I am Tope Folarin (Nee Adebayo). I was born into a Christian home by Engineer & Lady Evangelist Adebayo. I am a bona-fide member of Christ Apostolic Church, presently attending Victory Land GRA Ikeja, Lagos. By God's grace I'm happily married with kids.
Tell us about the yearly Triumphant Praise programme
Triumphant Praise Programme was born as a mandate last year to be precise. By His Grace, I have been singing from my early years in the children church, and through the grace of God I was able to release my first album in the year 2010.
When did the programme start and what gave birth to it?
In 2010 I formally inaugurated my crew, "His Mercies Music" and since then we have been ministering in churches, outreaches, revivals, etc., but in 2015, I had a leading to host a praise concert which was also confirmed by some men of God. I was reluctant about it, until January 13, 2018 when I had a clear revelation about it. The name "Triumphant Praise" was given to me, hence we did the maiden edition on the 25th of March, 2018 and it was awesome.
What is the purpose of the programme?
Basically, the programme is channeled to praising God, for who He is, what He has done, and the victories we have received so far. It is an avenue to praise God for the benefits we have in Him. The programme is also designed to propagate the gospel
What was the outcome of the previous edition?
To His glory, it was an awesome moment in His presence. Though the maiden edition was held with little awareness, the turnout was encouraging. People that were ill testified to God's hands of healing and total recovery on them and souls were turned back to Calvary to the glory to God.
Let us into some details of this year's edition
By His grace, this year's edition will come up on Sunday 4th of August at CAC, Victory Land, 26, Joel Ogunnaike Street GRA Ikeja, Lagos by 2pm.
We are gathering to praise, worship and give God the honour He duly deserves.
Tell us briefly about the invited guests
God has prepared His minstrels that will join me in praising our Maker on the said date.
Praise programmes are being held on yearly basis everywhere, but majority of those programmes are nothing to write home about. What do you think is wrong?
The motive behind it matters. Some are borne out of competition, some for show off and some out of imitation. Once the motive is wrong, one should not expect the presence of God.
What kind of praise would God accept and what is the best way to praise Him?
God accept the praise that was born in truth and in spirit. No special way or method of praising Him. Just make sure you give your totality to Him in worshipping and praising Him.
