The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun was among those who testified to the sacrificial life of the former and late General Superintendent of the Church, Pastor Michael O. Agbaje at the Service of Songs organized for the deceased.
Pastor Akinosun at the service described Pastor Agbaje as a minister of God worthy of emulation.
He noted that Pastor Agbaje was blessed with spiritual gifts exhibited by forefathers of the church during their earthly ministry.
Pastor Akinosun described the deceased as a man of patience who never got angry.
"Before Pastor Agbaje emerged as the General Superintendent, a committee was set up. We asked anyone who wanted to be General Superintendent to make their intention known by writing to the committee. We also asked people to recommend people they knew could occupy the post. The name of Pastor Agbaje and Pastor Oduronbi were never suggested and both of them never wrote the committee to apply for the post. Eventually when he was chosen, he was very sober. He never thought he could be chosen. It was just God's will. He was worthy of emulation. We need to learn from him. Everybody can't get to position at the same time. We should not be position conscious," Pastor Akinosun explained.
