The former General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Prophet Samuel K. Abiara, has urged Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to repair bad roads, saying it will help end gridlock in the state.
The cleric also urged the governor to complete all the projects started by his predecessor.
Speaking in the early hour of Saturday at a special prayer programme in his church in Lagos, Abiara said poor power supply should also be looked into because of its importance to the economy.
He said, “I want to encourage Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to see to the urgent completion of some projects that the last administration could not complete.
“Also, some of the roads in Lagos State are in bad state, which is the cause of serious traffic congestion, they need to be fixed. Lagosians will equally be grateful if our amiable governor can ensure regular power supply.”
Abiara, while commending the efforts of the Federal Government at solving the security issues in the country, lauded the fight against insurgents and other criminals.
He said, “I want to say that some of the ways to curb insecurity and crime-related matters in Nigeria is for government to empower the teeming youths. They must also make the environment helpful for people to be self-employed.
“Another important thing is for the government to make sure all security personnel are given modern training with up-to-date gadgets and ammunition to combat the enemies of peace in the country.” (Punch)
