"But he who sows righteousness gets a true reward (Proverb 11:18)." This scripture was again fulfilled on Saturday September 14, 2019 when United Missionary Church of Africa Theological College, Ilorin, conferred Prophet Michael O. Adio with Honorary Degree, Doctor of Divinity, Honoris Causa with all the rights and privileges attached thereto.
Prophet Adio who is the planter of CAC Alabukun, Ilorin, was given this honour at the 61st Convocation Ceremony of the school.
The renowned Prophet of God said in an exclusive interview while appreciating God for the achievement said he has never received this kind of honour since he was ordained in Christ Apostolic Church.
He noted that he was surprised when the management of the school came to him and told him about their impression to honour him, noting that it was like a dream to him.
"I was surprised when the management of the school came to me and said that considering how God has been using me for the gospel in Ilorin, they have decided to give me honorary doctorate degree. I related it with some people who told me I should not reject it. I am so happy today. Today is just like the day I wedded. My wedding day was like a dream to me, likewise today. It is God who loves me beyond how anybody can love me that did this, it is not man. I return all the glory to the God of my beginning and end," the Cleric said.
While giving advice to all Christians, Prophet Adio said: "Jesus called us to battle for Him and He used Himself as an example during his earthly ministry. If truly we are God’s children and we are going to Heaven, we must pass through some challenges and after the challenges we will have victory. We are already in the end time, but it is quite unfortunate that many don’t believe in the second coming of Christ. We should all seek God when we can find Him and call Him when He is near."
