As Nigeria celebrates 59th independence anniversary today October 1st, 2019, the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun has said Nigeria of our dream is a country where social justice, probity, responsiveness, competence are the high points of government.
He noted that the hopes of Nigerians are very high with the attendant enormous expectations, advising President Muhammadu Buhari to be proactive, decisive, firm and expeditious in rising to all occasions that require his expertise, attention and impact.
Pastor Akinosun who stated this last week at the 2019 Pastors' Conference of CAC Worldwide held in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun state called on government to look without delay into the economic and social condition of the country.
"The state of the economy is still dismal and we urge government to up its game in the turning around the situation of the country. The economy requires an economic team with flair to come up with measures to stem the tide of poverty, dwindling and deteriorated infrastructure, poor management of fiscal policies and abysmal lack of growth in the manufacturing sector.
" We plead with actors in the political space to remember that God has enthroned them in their various positions for the benefit and betterment of Nigerians. They are not in government to enrich themselves or for self-aggrandisement. It is a call to serve. They are requires to bring to fore competence, capability, technical know-how and ingenuity. They must ensure they formulate a clear vision and ensure they achieve the vision," the Cleric said.
