The Zonal Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Transfiguration Zone, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi has urged every Christian to imbibe godly character, saying that godly character is far better than 21 days of fasting and prayer.
While saying that no one can use fasting and prayer to bribe God, the Cleric stated that anyone who wants to enjoy the grace of God must deny ungodliness.
Pastor Odejobi said this while ministering on the topic "Grace and Glory" at the 20th anniversary thanksgiving service of Christ Apostolic Church, Transfiguration Hill, Sango District Headquarters on Sunday November 17, 2019.
According to him, the greatest title one should endeavour to have is sonship to God.
Pastor Odejobi who also condemned worldly dancing styles which are gradually creeping into the church said it is part of the signs of end time.
He stressed that every Christian must be ready to resist worldly things of the end time.

ReplyDeletePracticing godly character in this dispensation is really a huge taske for Christians especially youth of today. Let not our fathers and mothers in the Lord ceased to keep on encourageencouraging and diminishing us to reveal good and standard behavior in our society. What life is revealing is not helping at all. Only Grace the grace of God and His spirit can make us sail through this corrupted world. I pray for Power and Love of Christ to be rekindled In us.

ReplyDeleteInterestingly, there's nothing like Godly character without fasting and prayers. Even Jesus Christ that's Lord fasted for forty days and forty nights.
More so, read what Jesus told his disciples: Jesus said in Mark 9:29 "And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting." This was after his disciples asked Jesus why they couldn't cast out the spirit of deaf and dumb from the boy in that chapter. You see, fasting and prayers are key Godly character. Shalom!!!

A1 is better than C4 in Waec exam even though you can gain admission into any University with both indices. He is comparing Godly character with and Prayer and fasting.The truth is that we need the two if we want to remain relevant in the kingdom business of the Lord because people are watching us.

This will definitely draw many who are not strong in faith into doubt and opening the door for satan to start lieng to them. He should have used something else at least the church is not field with saints and through fasting people encounter the holy spirit who will abide and teach them Godly character. And secondly all these priests talking ash against fast in one way or another should remember they are leaders and people must surely follow.
