History was made on Saturday November 9, 2019 as Christ Apostolic Church, Ikorodu Districts Coordinating Council (DCC), Ikorodu, Lagos laid foundation of her English Assembly with the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun in attendance.
Also in attendance was the Regional Superintendent of CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor Moses O. Yusuff and notable DCC and Zonal Superintendents in Ikorodu.
While preaching at the service, Pastor Yusuff said building the house of God is very important and God takes it very important.
He said God knew that the foundation of the English Assembly would be laid even from the day Yoruba Assembly of Ikorodu DCC headquarters started.
According to him, Christ Apostolic Church has lost many youths in the past when there was no English Assembly.
He said English Assembly provides an opportunity for youths to worship God and use their gifts to the glory of God.
Pastor Yusuff implored members of the church to contribute their quota towards the completion of the project, adding that he expects that by this time next year the project should be competed and Pastor Akinosun should be invited again to dedicate it.
The DCC Superintendent of Ikorodu DCC, Pastor Lawrence O. Akinloye while speaking was optimistic that the project will be ready for dedication by June 2020.
He commended the Church Elders for their corporation and also asked the President, Pastor Akinosun to pray for them.
The foundation laying is part of activities to mark the 50th anniversary of CAC Ikorodu DCC headquarters. Anniversary Thanksgiving service holds today Sunday November 10, 2019.
