Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Anu District Headquarters, Apapa DCC, Oworonsoki Lagos, on Sunday December 1st, 2019 celebrated her Annual Harvest Thanksgiving.
The anniversary with the theme "Taking Dominion the Eternal Plan of God for Man" was a celebration of God's faithfulness to the church over the years.
District Superintendent of Oke Anu District, Pastor S.O. Oludahunsi told CAC NEWS in an interview that the members of Oke Anu District should be able to stand and realise that they are uniquely made and are image of God.
"The bible says in that book of Genesis that after God had created man, He put him in the garden of Eden and He said unto Adam that he should watch, take care of it and take dominion. If they can stand by this whatever the devil has taken away from them, be it spiritually, financially, whatever aspect it may be they can still take them back.
In the book of 1samuel, when David went to the war, by the time he came back, he saw that they have taken away others captive even his wife and children. But one thing that David did, the bible says that he encouraged himself and he asked of the Lord if he could pursue the battle and the Lord said pursue and you will surely recover all they have taken away from you. The Bible says and David pursue and recovered all. That is the dominion we are talking about, we can still take our dominion and authority back," Pastor Oludahunsi stated.
While commenting on how the church in Nigeria can take back its dominion, the Cleric said the best way the church in Nigeria can take back its dominion is that they should first know their right position with God.
He said churches in Nigeria should know that they are the image and mouthpiece of God, adding that they are given the mandate of librating the world and taking it to God.
He further explained that; "as soon as they can have that at the back of their mind they will be able to take other steps which is the aspect of prayer. They should also live a holy life, because the bible says without holiness no man can see God. They should be able to stand in the gap between man and God. They should also make use of the virtue of faith, because the bible says without faith no one can please God. If the church can make use if these things they can take dominion of the world and take the world back to God."
