In a bid to contribute her quota to the development of the country, Christ Apostolic Church, Agbara Districts' Coordinating Council has commissioned street light she built for Korogboji community, Agbara, Ogun State.
The recently held commissioning ceremony was attended by His Royal Highness, the Baale of Korogboji Land, the Balogun of Korogboji Land, the Divisional Police Officer Agbara Police Division, the Business Manager Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDP) and many others.
While speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the DCC Superintendent of Agbara DCC, Pastor Joseph Omolola said: "It is my pleasure to stand before you today to appreciate God for His goodness in our lives as children of God in Hosanna Chapel in the past 35years.
"We are here today in obedience to Christ’s command in Matthew 5:13-14, that we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Christians’ presence anywhere must be well felt, we must obey our Father that our light must shine so brightly for people to see our work and glorify Him in heaven (Matthew 5:16). Physically and spiritually we must be light unto the people. The book of 2 Corinthians 8:21 says, for we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of man."
Pastor Omolola noted that as a church, the ceremony is not to brag nor a show-up but an avenue to gather people to join them praise God for His faithfulness and mercy that endureth forever.
"We are here to express our gratitude to Korogboji Community for hosting us for the past 35 years. We are here to contribute to the security of our area. We are here to beautify our environment. May the Lord of Hosts be praised,. I am indeed grateful to all ministers and members of Hosanna Chapel for their unity, love and cooperation. I am particularly thankful to the 35th Anniversary Committee for this great innovation and thoughts of love. May the name of Christ in your lives be praised," he concluded.
