Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the Authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, has announced the postponement of the 75th birthday ceremony of the President of the Church, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun which was initially scheduled to hold on May 1, 2020.
It would be recalled that Pastor Akinosun turned 75 on February 27, 2020 and in view of that, the authority of the Church constituted a committee which had earlier planned to mark the 75th birthday with a grand celebration on May 1, 2020.
The Church authority in a circular signed by the General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur said considering the situation in the country as regards the scourge of coronavirus, the President has directed that the planned celebration of his 75th birthday be postponed indefinitely.
"I am further directed to inform you that the President prays that this pandemic shall be overcome in no distant time. Meanwhile, he urged all citizens to abide by all the instructions given by the government and health experts as regards personal hygiene and social distancing," Pastor Mapur stated.
