The Senior Pastor, Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Testimony, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, Pastor Bunmi Babatunde has said there is no religion that can offer the solution the world needs presently except Jesus Christ
He noted that in a time like this when the world is confused we need the Reviver, which is our Lord, Jesus Christ.
He added that;"from the depth of rottenness humanity has sank, and judging from the debauchery and the abominable apostasy that has befallen the Church of Christ; it is time to cry for revival."
Pastor Babatunde noted this while ministering on Sunday March 29, 2020 at the Sunday Service of CAC Chapel of Testimony which was live streamed on the official Facebook page of the assembly.
While commenting on why we need revival in a time like this, Pastor Babatunde who is the Coordinator of CACYOF Akinyele Region said we need revival when the purpose of being is lost.
According to him, the purpose of being was lost in Genesis chapter 1 vs. 2: "and the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep," adding that God came in and started the process of restoration by calling forth the light.
The Cleric stated further that we need revival when zeal has replaced knowledge, saying that many people think they know God but they have no knowledge of Him (Rom.10:1-3).
Pastor stressed that there is no other knowledge the world needs now for an all-round solution to deliver the world except the knowledge that can be found in the Word of God.
"We need revival when righteousness is defined by value and worldly knowledge. This world does not know what God's righteousness is all about. This world has established its own righteousness which is hindering her to submit to the righteousness of God."
"We need revival when doing God's work has become more important than becoming sons of God. God is first of all more interested in us becoming His children than what we do in His vineyard. So many strangers are preaching God's word without knowing Him." Psm 50:16
"We need revival when the messenger is more important than the message. The pulpit today is full of people who have no sense of stewardship. When God called you into His work, you should do it according to His will. We need revival when we feel fulfilled by earthly possession. It is not what we gather that will please God. There are many cathedrals where God is not present," Pastor Babatunde noted.
The Cleric noted that greatest power on earth is in the church, not anywhere, but unfortunately we have not been able to manifest it into the world.
