Today is the birthday of the Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Oniyo Districts Coordinating Council (DCC), Ekiti, Pastor Olu Akeju.
Pastor Akeju remains one of the versatile ministers of God CAC Worldwide can boost of. Due to his passion for the gospel and enlargement of God's kingdom, he has served in many capacities.
He told CAC NEWS that: "I was born into the humble family of Late Elder Samuel Aina Akeju and Late Mrs Rachel Dada Akeju of Ilogbo Ekiti. I grew up and had my primary school education at Ayepe Ijebu in ogun state and from there moved to Lagos where I had my secondary education and also enrolled as ICAN student from where the hand of God took me over for
"His glorious calling which began in 1984. I trained under senior ministers of God before I was directed to L.I.F.E. Theological Seminary Ikorodu (Then L.I.F.E. bible college )where I did my Dip. Th. ,B. Th., M. Th., and West Africa Theological Seminary, Lagos for another M. A. in old Testament, and again to Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye for another M. A. in Christian Theology. Currently in Ajayi Crowther University Oyo for my PhD in Ethics and Theology."
"By God's grace I was ordained as Pastor in 1995 by the Authority of CAC, became District Superintendent in 2005 and now a DCC Superintendent to the glory of God."
"I have served in Ijebu, Lagos, Ikale land in Ondo State, Modakeke and now Oniyo DCC Ado Ekiti. I have served as Sunday school Supervisor, Youth coordinator, both at the district and DCC levels. A conference speaker, teaching Evangelist by calling, with burning passion for the Total Empowerment of the Total Man."
"By the grace of God currently I'm the Secretary to the CAC Pastors' Conference and Convention Committee. I'm also one of the pioneer lectures of the CACTS Lagos campus. I have served as lecturer in various Seminaries and currently still with L.I.F.E. Theological Seminary as an adjunct lecturer."
