Give God first consideration in every of your decision, Cleric tells Christians

Christians across the globe have been urged to to give God first consideration in every of their decision making.


The District Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Pentecostal District, Life and Power Zone, Ikorodu Lagos, Pastor I.T. Ariyo said this while ministering on the topic "God First in the Orders of Men" at a Facebook broadcast on the official page of the church tagged "Eternal Treasure Hour."


While commenting on 'Five Ways to Put God First', Pastor Ariyo urged everyone to give God the first hour of the day (Psalm 63:1; Mark 1:35-37), first day of the week (Rev. 1:10; 1Cor. 16:2), first consideration in every decision (Prov. 3:5-6; Psalm 37:23-24),
first portion of your pay (Leviticus 27:30; Prov. 3:9-10; Matt. 23:23; Matt. 6:19-21) and
first place in your heart (Prov. 4:23; Prov. 23:26; Matt. 22:37).


According to him, biblical view on Christian priorities is that
God must come first in everything we do and His teachings must be first.



He noted that Christ is the model of laying down our will for God’s will and our priority must be to seek the kingdom of God first.



Commenting on 'Why must God be First', the Cleric said He is the Source of Life, He is the Source of provision, He is the Overseer of promotions, He is the Giver of Wealth, He is the Provider of safety and protection, He is the Source of health and we have our being in Him.



Pastor Ariyo stated that the areas you need to put God first are interest, relationship, schedule/time, troubles, finances/treasures, character (lifestyle and talents), before starting each day, in Word and prayer, life or year planning and in governance and national life.
