This is the testimony of the salvation of Jesus in the life of one of our youths from Christ Apostolic Church in the United Kingdom, Europe (name withheld).

The God of Babalola is the best thing that ever happened to me. His name is Jesus Christ. The Bible says Jesus Christ did not come to condemn the world but came for our salvation, he manifested to destroy all the works of the devil.
While growing up in CAC, my mother made the family house a house of prayer. She encouraged and forced me into the work of God. All of her children started as members of the choir in CAC. Even I joined the choir, without much ability to sing. Everywhere in the house were prayer books, bibles, gospel music cassettes and CDs. She loved prayer and took me with her to prayer meetings, special revival and deliverance services and vigil services. Vigil was our second home. We also attended services at The MFM Ministries of our family friend in the school of prayer and deliverance.
I grew in love with the spiritual environment that my mother was trying to create for herself and all her children. Even as a child, one of my favourite means of entertainment, was to watch our church anniversary. I never got tired of watching it and would often plead with my brother to use the TV in his room.
Notwithstanding the conscious efforts of my mother to bring us up in the way of the Lord, I developed my own struggles as a child that confronted the message of the gospel of my mother. Struggles with sexuality, fear, lust and identity.
Despite this challenge, the God of Babalola did not forsake me, he remained a father to me and violently refused to let me go until I came to repentance. He is a merciful father. John 10:10 tells me that the thief cometh to steal, to kill and to destroy, but my Jesus has come to give me life and life more abundantly.
All I had to do was surrender, as my father had already prepared my day of deliverance. Since I was born till now, God has never instructed me to practise homosexuality. However, the Holy Spirit, the spirit of the prophets will always be ministering unto me, the message of deliverance, salvation, the supreme power of God and most importantly genuine repentance. God of Babalola did not condemn, he decided to only intervene in my life, for my salvation, healing and total transformation.
It was while I was growing up in CAC that the God of Babalola found me and redeemed me from the hand of the enemy (Psalm 107:2)

I say “Jesus Christ, My Great Deliverer, Jesus Christ”
HOW DID IT HAPPEN?
In Genesis 2:17, God instructed Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day he eateth of it he shall surely die. But, in chapter 3, the devil came in the form of a serpent to render the command that God had given Adam foolish and irrelevant. The serpent sought to deceive Eve, and told her that “you will not die, God has given you that command, so that your eyes will not be opened to the knowledge of both good and evil”. Once the devil had spoken to Eve, a contrary desire filled her heart. She now saw the goodness in the tree, and it became pleasant to her eyes, and she ate of the fruit of the tree and gave it to her husband.
This is exactly what happened to me, the initial struggle of sexuality can be attributed to the sexual harassment of the devil. Matthew 13:25 “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way”. The spirit of darkness came initially in the dream and gave me the vision of homosexuality, to make it pleasant to the eyes.
Adam and Eve did not desire to eat the fruit of the tree, it was when the devil came into the scene.
Thank God for the Book of 1 John 3:8, that says that Jesus Christ has come to destroy all the works of the devil.
“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
HOW I RECEIVED MY DELIVERANCE?
It is the love of God, that none should perish but have everlasting life. My deliverance can be attributed to the God of Babalola. God of Babalola really has embraced me and has been very kind to me. It was in the ministration of songs of worship, when Jesus introduced himself to me as the God of Babalola.
A few years ago, I was leading worship at my home church, CAC Vessel unto Honour. The songs of worship that day exalted the faithfulness of God, in times of storm and they were songs of surrender. As the time drew near for me to finish leading worship, God told my pastor that I should not stop but continue and I was given extra time to lead. I did not know that God’s plan that day was for the Holy Spirit to run through my life, fill me and destroy the nature and orientation of sin. It was a day of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on me and other youths in the church. The God who saves came and took me by his Spirit, and said it is finished. But I kept on crying and telling the Holy Spirit, that who am I? I am a sinner. I was telling God to tell my pastor about my past, but a word came forth that “your sins are forgiven”. Then I began to rejoice in the Spirit and gave thanks to God.The God of Babalola said the battle is over. Truly, the Spirit of God is the spirit of liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).
Another ministration of the God of Babalola’s intervention was at a vigil hosted by Christ Apostolic Church Anosike (Europe) Region. In Anosike, we have a special revival programme titled “Night of Newness”. A few years ago, at the night of newness programme. The youth fellowship Choir was assigned to minister at the programme. While at the vigil, I was told to lead the youth ministration. I thank God for his grace and mercy that has enabled me to be available to work in the Lord’s vineyard. Again, the Holy Spirit took me that day. While I was ministering, I began to call on God of CAC, The God of Babalola and the God of Olukoya, not by my own will but by the spirit of the prophets. This is why I strongly believe that the God of Babalola is Jesus Christ. God helped me that day, I recited Psalm 24 in Yoruba, and sang spiritual songs, that none including me should go home dismayed by the battle, for the King of Glory has come in, The Lord, Strong and Mighty, Mighty in Battle.
Suddenly I began to feel the strength of The Almighty God in me, The God of Babalola, The Lion of Judah had come into the midst of the congregation, the power of the Holy Ghost was present. The God of Elijah sent down fire, and the kingdom of darkness had to bow and loose its hold on the lives of God’s people. Men and women prophesied. The Lord of hosts congratulated us all that night, for in his mercy He sent forth his power among us. God said that the Holy Spirit is doing a new thing in us, reawakening our hearts that we may worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24) and that we should all run away from sin. God told us that night that He is the light of the world, that the darkness in our midst could not comprehend. Then was known to us all the secrets of the operations of darkness that was present in our midst. Surely, The God of Babalola sees and hears all things.
The God of Babalola told the congregation, that they should call and pray for the youth that was leading in songs. The God of Babalola revealed that the enemy was boasting saying “When will the time come for them to be consumed by fire”? God of Babalola said that they should pray that such spirits should be destroyed. So, after the ministrations, a pastor led the congregation in a prayer for me, and during the prayer he made a prophetic statement, that I am a Vessel unto Honour. What a beautiful coincidence, that the name of my home church is Vessel unto Honour a part of Christ Apostolic Church. My God is awesome, Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me. The Bible says when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.
Isaiah 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
The revelations of the Holy Spirit and the reading of the word of God. Let me know three key stages for overcoming homosexuality in Christ Jesus:
1)True repentance,
2) Living a life filled with the Holy Spirit
3) Sharing the testimony of Jesus Christ at every given opportunity.
The first key stage is repentance. Seek and ask for forgiveness from God and forgive anyone who has offended you. Allow God to give you a new beginning. Once you have been forgiven, sin no more. We should all be determined to live a life of holiness.
Homosexuality is a wild unclean beast, that boasts of devouring both the young and old, violent repentance is needed. Holiness is a possibility with God, daily in his presence, his supreme power is revealed.
The bible says that ye are the temple of God, and the holy spirit dwells in you (1 Cor 3:16). The next stage is to be filled with the power and counsel of the holy spirit, know the holy spirit more, and let that spiritual birth become a reality.
The final stage is to share your testimony. When the holy spirit leads you to share your testimony do so. There is no shame, for it is the testimony of Christ for the salvation of others. In the book of Matthew, when Joseph found out that Mary was pregnant, he initially did not know that her pregnancy was of the holy ghost. He being a nice man planned not to tell anybody, but to let her go privately. But the angel of God came to Joseph and told him that this pregnancy is of the holy spirit.
Once the holy spirit has given you a testimony, do not hide it, let the angels of God take your testimony around the world, for it is the power of God to save lives.
We have to hold on to our testimony of Jesus Christ till the day of Christ. Do not allow any power to challenge your testimony, it is your possession. All the three key stages listed require total surrender to Christ.
I want to encourage you the reader, never allow any situation to draw you away from God. Be still and know that God is God (Psalm 46:10), it is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3). Submit yourselves unto the lord, resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).Enjoy a life of total surrender to God, surrender and constantly be revived by his word. The truth is, God wants to stretch forth his hand and do great works in your life, he wants to turn your reproach around and make it a display of his glory, but will you allow him??? My friend, your Salvation is here, and it is in Christ Jesus. Confess, believe and make him your personal lord and saviour (Romans 10:9).
Today, salvation has come to your house.
Furthermore, since CAC was commissioned by Jesus Christ himself, I want to encourage myself and all church leaders to make Jesus Christ the centre of our lives and the church, so that the church might fulfil its purpose of winning souls for Christ. All that we do as a church should continue to be powered by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe that if we continue in this gospel manner, holding fast to the faith of our fathers,all our children will be delivered from the rage of glory killers.
