The Minister in Charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Grace, Ibadan, Pastor S.O. Adeboye has said what makes a Christian useful in God's plan is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, not the spiritual gifts.
He said if anybody will grow spiritually, he or she must possess the fruit of the Spirit.
Pastor Adeboye stated this while ministering on the topic "Christian Usefulness" on Sunday July 5, 2020 during the Sunday Service of the church.
According to him, many Christians find it difficult to easily forgive, not knowing that they are doing themselves a favour by forgiving.
He noted that the fruit of Spirit won't allow anyone to curse like Elisa who cursed 42 youths who abused him, stating that the youths with great future died with their potentials.
Pastor Adeboye said spiritual gifts are good, but at times having them makes one to offend God when it is not balanced with fruit of the Spirit.
