It was a day of celebrating God's faithfulness when Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Praise, Akure, Ondo State, recently celebrated her 18th anniversary.
Participants joined in celebrating God's faithfulness and presence in the church for the past 18 years.
While recounting the history of the church, the senior Pastor Prof. S.B. Adejuyigbe noted that the first anniversary was held on May 19, 2002 with 45 adults and 8 children in attendance.
"Today, the Lord has magnanimously added to the number of worshippers in the church. The church rose from the four walls of the founders cramped living room to a cathedral sized church. Even though the church hasn't reached her zenith, we are confident the Lord is able to do more than any man can think," he said.
Slated to have held on the 27th day of May, 2020, the 18th anniversary was postponed because of the prevailing pandemic; the church finally held her 18th anniversary on the 9th day of August, 2020.
Although not held in grand style as a result of observing the strict policies protracted by the government to deal with the pandemic, the anniversary was glorious. The Lord made his presence known in the songs and thought provoking sermon presented by the C.AC Odubanjo Regional Superintendent, Pastor D.I.O. Edoh who took the church on an empirical biblical journey discussing the theme 'Spiritual Insights to Christianity in the Contemporary World.'
The service took place between 9am and 12noon where the church had about 3 hours of celestial experience.
Other ministers include Pastor Prof. J.T.B Oluwatimilehin, Pastor Dr. B.J. Olorunfemi, Pastor Dr. D.O. Oloruntola, Pastor David Olowoniyi, Pastor S.O. Omotola, Evang. Prophet S.K. Olorunsola.
