The Youth Officer of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro has stated that our mandate to preach the gospel is not only a priority but also a matter of necessity to us as far as God is concerned that no excuse whatsoever would be reasonable and tenable enough to justify our failure to carry out this great assignment, not even the COVID-19 pandemic.
No situation, according Pastor Gbuyiro can frustrate the programme and purpose of God rather, He will turn every situation around to fulfill His purpose.
He noted that the omniscient God has put the internet and technology in place ahead of this time to serve as a wing on which the gospel would fly to every part of the world breaking all barriers to reach men in their closets and turn their hearts to God.
He therefore said the leadership of the Fellowship has deemed it fit to adopt virtual Conference as the best alternative method to hold our Conference this year as approved by the Church leadership.
Pastor Gbuyiro said this while delivering the welcome speech at the Virtual International Youth Conference organized by the Youth Directorate of CAC Worldwide.
According to him, this year's Conference is taking this format due to the global effect of the COVID-19 Pandemic which has put virtually everything on hold, coupled with the phenomenal lockdown by the government with various policies that forbid religious gatherings in Nigeria and nations of the world at the moment, adding that more than any other sector, the church programmes or activities are badly affected by the hindrance created by the pandemic.
He also said: “To avoid being haunted throughout eternity by thoughts of missing your best opportunities to reconcile with God and live by His word, you are hereby called to "remember NOW your Creator in the days of your Youth". Now is the best and appointed time to blow loudly the trumpet of this clarion call know fully well that evil days are closely approaching in view of natural disasters and most importantly the implementation of God's end time agenda. “…in the last days perilous time shall come..." 2 Tim 3:1.
“While there are eternal disadvantages in forgetting your Creator, yet, remembering Him is the golden secret of success, victory, spiritual restoration, renewal of strength, refreshment and destiny fulfillment. God created everyone with the ability to remember and it has present, continuous and eternal importance as it determines what you end up becoming in life. Today, many of God's promising sons and daughters set apart for holy use have become captives of the mighty to suffer as orphans just because they forgot God's love, mercy, provisions, unfailing promises and power. There are grave consequences when the sick forgets the Healer, the perishing sinner the Saviour, the helpless the Helper, the prodigal son the caring and loving Father, oppressed the Deliverer, and the dying the Giver of life. God expects people who forget Him to repent and avoid being "turned into hell, (with) all nations that forget God" (Psalm 9:17). Therefore, we must all heed the Creator's call now to yield our heart unreservedly to Him, obey all His commands and honour Him above everything else in life. Then, we shall recover all our lost inheritances.”
