Praises went up and blessings came down as Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Ire District 1 held her 36th Choir Festival service which featured hymns, Yoruba and English classical and contemporary songs.
The programme was themed 'Heart of Praise'.
The choir in their beautiful robe rendered melodious songs and hymns to the heavens.
Among the choir renditions are: we come oh Lord, chimle, orisun ni Jesu, mo moore nitemi, araye ndarugbo (quartet), achieved is the glorious work, God of our fathers mobomesakuda, d'odimu, and Baba E seun.
The choir festival was graced by Rev. Dami Paul from CAC Bond of Love, success land, Ogun State.
Rev. Dami Paul in his teaching, made it known that giving thanks to God is a commandment.
He said “as a Christian, it is not until you are comfortable that you need to thank God, even in that discomfort, we need to praise God because praising God is a commandment.”
The cleric, while teaching about 'heart of praise', said It is only those that have faith that can praise God while in tribulation.
He noted that when a Christian faces challenges, it is an evidence that they are responsible.
In his concluding note, he said “find reasons to thank God, even in scarcity.”
