The DCC Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Calvary Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Warri, Delta State, Pastor Michael Ehinmode has told Evangelists, Planters, Prophets and Prophetesses that any service rendered to God without purity of heart has no reward, adding that holiness of a life is a condition for useful and acceptable service to God.
He noted that holiness is God’s essential character and it is the very nature of God, His person, attribute and characteristic (Leviticus 19:2).
According to him, holiness connotes being separated unto God from the filthiness of sin and the vanity of worldliness, saying it is to be separated to God for His special purpose.
Pastor Ehinmode stated this while ministering on the topic “Living a Holy Life in a Corrupt Society” on Wednesday October 7, 2020 at 2020 Conference of All Evangelists, Planters, Prophets and Prophetesses organized by CAC Worldwide.
The Cleric said God is more interested in our being than our doing, adding that “the crusade or programmes we hold in our church are not more important to God than who we are. We cannot bribe God with activities or programmes. We should desist from the attitude of spending more time before men and less time before God.”
Pastor Ehinmode said God cannot lower His standard because of anybody saying that for every Moses there is a Joshua, for every Saul there is a David and for every Judas there is a Matthias.
While quoting Leviticus 10:1 and 1 Samuel 4:1-2, the Cleric said anyone who is not holy is defenseless and it also hinders answer to prayers.
“Heaven closes against the life of anyone who is not holy and the person would lose his or her salvation. Such will begin to operate under closed heaven. If your heart is not holy, God’s grace will begin to diminish in your life, and you will experience depreciation,” he said.
