A total number of 267 students graduated at the 22nd Convocation ceremony of Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Lagos Campus, held on Thursday November 26, 2020.
The Coordinator of the campus, Pastor F.A. Olaniyi who said this while delivering Convocation Speech at the epic event said the 267 students have learnt key theological values and have been shown the vision, mission and belief system of our Mission and they have also acquired Biblical doctrinal knowledge for an effective ministry within CAC and beyond.
He further stressed that the graduands have passed through both intellectual and spiritual drillings that will lead them through life and ministry.
"In our twenty-two years of existence, thousands of ministers of God in Christ Apostolic Church and other denominations and ministries have come to drink from the graceful fountain of Christian theological knowledge and education here: we have graduated from this citadel men and women, ordained and non-ordained in various categories," he said.
The Provost, CACTS, Ile-Ife, Pastor S.O.A. Afolabi told the graduands that apart from being possessed with the power of the Holy Spirit with which they can pull down strongholds, raise standard against the wiles of the devil and effectively preach the gospel, they should know that many had used the education they acquired to cause wreckage to ecclesiological, political and economical systems.
He noted that this is evident in the current deplorable state of Nigeria and the body of Christ at large, saying that the world is in dire need of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
"Having been theological groomed and spiritually imparted, you have joined the lucky ones called into the business of God as well as the world of the intellectuals, to bring about positive and godly transformation," he said.
The Chairman of CACTS Theological Seminary Governing Council, Pastor E.S. Famuyide charged the graduands to preach the gospel without adulteration or sentiment.
He also said they should pray like the Apostles and CAC founding fathers, keep their family intact and be heavenly conscious.
Pastor Famiyide stressed that the graduands should emphasise the primacy of holiness and shun the quest for materialism which is the order of the day now.
The ceremony had in attendance the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun, Akinyele Regional Superintendent, Pastor Moses O. Yusuff and many others.
