CAC Ibadan DCC headquarters holds 63rd Choir Festival of Songs

It was a display of world-class musical performance that blessed lives at the 63rd Choir Festival of Songs of Christ Apostolic Church, Ibadan Districts’ Coordinating Council (DCC) headquarters, Agbokojo, Ibadan which was held on November 8, 2020.

 

The choir in their beautiful attire performed songs like “O worship the Lord in the Beauty of holiness” (Tune: was labet, was schwebet), “Baba a de” by Bidemi Oyesanya, “Ewa ka korin S’oluwa” by Yinka Oyesanya, “Wa bami pade” by Tunde Asokeji, “A to bi ju oba” by Gbite Awe, “Emi yi o yin Oluwa” by Ajibola Oluyelu, “Are you ready?” by Gbenga Adeyefa, “Fun wa no ayo” by Gbite Awe and many others.

 

Ministering at the programme on the topic “Subjecting yourself to the Spirit of Almighty”, the Finance Director of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Johnson F. Omitinde said for everything a man does, there is an influence behind it, saying that as Christians who want to succeed in life, you need divine inspiration and it is the divine inspiration that gives divine understanding and direction.

 

While addressing Music Ministers, the Cleric said songs composed through divine inspiration brings down the glory of God and as a result people would be delivered, fred from captivities.

 

 According to him, songs composed through divine inspiration brings physical and spiritual healing, and challenge unbelievers.

 

Pastor Omitinde further said that songs composed through divine inspiration edifies the saints and make them strong spiritually.

 

The Cleric also urged Choristers not to copy songs composed by  other people, but be original by allowing themselves to be used by Holy Spirit to compose songs.

 

He told them that if they subject themselves to the Holy Spirit, He will give them songs and the songs would be full of divine inspiration.

 

The DCC Superintendent of Ibadan DCC, Pastor S.A. Omosanya appreciated the Finance Director for his presence and also commended the effort of the choirister.

 

The Choir Master/ Director of Music, Ibadan DCC headquarters, Elder (Dr.) Oluwatosin Akinpelu also appreciated the Finance Director for honouring their invitation. He then appreciated all the choir leaders in Babalola Region for their presence. In attendance was the Regional Choir Coordinator of CAC Babalola Region, Elder E.F. Ilori.
