The immediate past Regional Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Akinyele Region, Pastor Moses O. Yusuff has declared his intention to continue to engage in church planting despite formal retirement.
He noted that he has been praying since he formally retired on December 31, 2020, noting that he and his wife will continue in church planting and making more disciples for Christ.
Pastor Yusuff said this at the Retirement and Farewell Service organized for him by CAC Akinyele Region on Saturday February 20, 2021.
He urged the Church to engage in church planting which he said was part of the peculiarities of the fathers of CAC.
He however implored planters not to lay claim to churches planted by them, adding that they should borrow a leaf from the fathers of CAC who never laid claim to all the churches planted by them.
Pastor Yusuff explained that the land where CAC Ketu headquarters is built on was given to the late General Superintendent of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Olutimehin, but he gave it free of charge to the Church.
He also said that those who have landed property can surrender it for church planting, stating that there are great rewards waiting for them in heaven if they can do so.
The Acting Secretary of CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor M.D. Olatunde said Pastor Yusuff was a good team player, an incredible hard worker, an exemplary leader, a great motivator and the one who brings out the best in others.
According to him, Pastor Yusuff organized many educational, spiritual and impactful programmes for the Region, and he was so enthusiastic about the growth and development of the Region in all ramifications.
"His managerial experience and ability to trigger enabled our region to become a pace setter for all other regions in CAC. Today, Akinyele Region is unarguably the largest and the strongest region in CAC. An expensive 4MATIC jeep was bought for official use during his tenure. He proposed the building of a five-storey building at Ebute-Elefun for offices and official quarters for regional staff. He promoted revival, evangelism and church planting throughout his tenure in Akinyele Region," he stated.
