Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide Youth Fellowship in partnership with LEAD Transformation Initiative has commenced a one-week School of Ideation, from Monday 14th March, 2021 to empower the youths of the Church.
The training which is being facilitated by the Youth Officer of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Samson O. Gbuyiro, Pastor Titilayo Femi Kings and Titilayo Kemi Kings (Founders and Directors, LEAD Transformation Initiative) is aimed at reducing the rate of youth unemployment, poverty and restiveness amongst the youths of the Church. It will emphasize on mind development and transformation.
This transformation is ongoing at LEAD’s transformation space located in Akure, Ondo State, a conducive environment that is fully equipped with modern facilities to aid deep thinking, research, networking and learning.
The Youth Officer CAC Worldwide,Pastor Gbuyiro, represented by Assistant Youth Officer, Pastor S.O.Oke mentioned in his welcoming address at the opening event that the Church is happy to see the commencement of the training and that the youths are the future of the Church and that is why the church has invested to see that this is a success.
He then encouraged the youths to see themselves as being in this training for a purpose, and that they must seize this opportunity to perceive what they want to do, use this platform to conceive it, and they must believe it so that it can become a product the world will receive from them.
The Director of Gender Inclusion at LEAD, Titilayo Kemi Kings said the training will launch them into the process of ideation by empowering them with critical skills like problem analysis, idea generation, and project and business development. It will also help them be gender balanced whilst concepting their ideas and visions.
The curriculum is designed to keep them abreast of where the world is heading in terms of social entrepreneurship and development by educating them on the current United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The Director and Co-Founder of LEAD Transformation Initiative,Pastor Titilayo Femi Kings who has experience delivering this curriculum to different audience around the world, said that the knowledge that would be gained in the training will guide the participants on how to access local and international funding opportunities, advance their ideas to sellable products, gain financial independence, access national and international business networks, identify problems and transforming them into business opportunities amongst several others.
Pastor Kings who is also an ordained pastor in Christ Apostolic Church emphasized that saving the youths of the church from poverty and unemployment will require more than prayers and fasting, but an intentional investment in developing and transforming the mind, and empowering their hands with relevant skills which is what this vision is set out to achieve.
LEAD Transformation Initiative, which was saddled with the responsibility to raise transformed minds for sustainable development has over the years, has transformed the minds of over 600 youths with this training, catalyzed them into ideation and also spurred them into starting their own sustainable ventures. The staff and management of LEAD are fully prepared to take the participants through this journey of transformation.
Pastor J.O. Oluwasanmi charged the youths to take the training serious and stay focused as they are the pioneering set and their result will determine the continuation of this partnered training. He further explained to the participants that the Church is taking this great and new step to change the narratives about the financial status of the Church and Christians at large.
The opening event ended on a note of prayer.
